Hello all,
I was at a student function tonight and was apprised of Idol's results via text . . . Paige Miles is headed out, and she appeared in all of our bottom 3's!
To update the game, here were last week's standings:
1. Rubbertoe: 5 points
2. Dr.L&K: 4 points
3. J: 3 points
This week's points
Rubbertoe: Two of the three bottom three correct (Katie & Paige) = 2 points
Dr.L&K: Two of the three bottom three correct (Paige & Tim) = 2 points
J: Two of the three bottom three correct (Paige & Tim), Eliminated correct, and correct original prediction of #11 = 5 points. . . . I had a lucky week :)
Updated totals:
1. J: 8 points
2. Rubbertoe: 7 points
3. Dr.L&K: 6 points
We continue to have a nailbiter of a competition here, y'all.
BTW, did Ryan happen to mention what the theme of our touring Top 10 is?
See y'all!

Top 3 Results: A "Heartless" Move Could Upset The Idol AppleCart.

Alright, I'm ready to make some predictions. I went back and watched the show again with Ttown Idol Fan . . . I've read the reviews . . . I've talked to my peeps . . . and it all backs up what SHOULD happen tonight. What SHOULD happen tonight is that The Gokey SHOULD be shown the door and we SHOULD get an Adam vs. Kris finale. That's what SHOULD happen. And . . . I'm slightly inclined to think that it very well MIGHT happen. I kind of think that Kris Allen's version of "Heartless" was just ballsy and brilliant enough to upset the Idol applecart. That being said, I understand that the percentage prediction here is a Danny vs. Adam finale. However, let it not be said that I'm afraid of the ballsy prediction.
Eliminated: The Gokey
Finale: Adam vs. Kris

A Few Idol Ramblings
Sooooo, I felt the need to post before the results show. I've been scanning the web and it seems that the same sentiment is buzzing around as has been buzzing in my head. I can't seem to shake the feeling that we could be in for an Idol shocker tonight. Stranger things have happened . . . See: Tamyra Grey, Latoya London, and Chris Daughtry. As I thought about this today, a few things occured to me. First of all, Kris, Danny, and Adam all have proven that they have very strong voting bases. However, Allison was VERY strong in the final duet which I believe will keep her safe. Second, The Gokey was smacked in the middle of everything like Kris was . . . and Simon said that, "he should be safe". We know from Idol history that often times "you should be safe" and comments like it tend to make voting bases lazy. Third, the buzz around the net is that everyone is PISSED at the blatant throwing under the bus of Kris and Allison and the blatant pimping of Adam and Danny. All of these things work together to make an unstable voting situation. Therefore, I'm gonna put out a few different scenarios that could be shocking.
1. Allison and Danny in the bottom 2 and Kris and Adam safe. Before you go, "WTF" think about it. Allison has never had a strong voting base and it isn't out of the question that despite going last her peeps just won't come up with enough numbers to keep her safe. The Gokey was HORRIBLE last night, and that, along with his positioning in the line up, could result in this situation.
2. Kris and Danny in the bottom 2 with Danny going home. See the above commentary on Danny and mix that with Kris' very strong voting base. Barring last week's odd bottom 3 in a Top 5 situation, Kris, along with Danny, has always been safe.
3. Danny/Adam bottom 2 . . . granted, I think this is a very unlikely scenario, but could it be that Adam was actually in the bottom two last week because his voting base isn't as strong as we think it is? Just a question . . .
At the end of the day, it will probably be my Kris who hits the road, but what if . . . .

Top Seven: The Results . . .
Get ready for a double elimination . . . drama, y’all!
THIS is AMERICAN Idol!
No tie bar tonight . . .
Lil Boo is here tonight . . .
45 million votes last night . . . wow
Let’s say hey to the judges!
Can they pull off Paula Abdul’s moves . . .this should be pretty good . . . and I am quite impressed . . . they did a great job. No way they could have been singing during that choreographed number.
And we’re back and the girls are still changing . . . so, the Seacrest is gonna waste some time.
VERY LAME Ford Focus video . . . Matt G took the longest to change and now we’re changing the mood.
RESULTS! Lil Rounds is up first . . . She was asked to walk to the far side of the stage . . . what does that mean? WOW! They eliminated Lil without any suspense. That’s crazy! Maybe not . . . they got rid of the least suspenseful elimination first. She was MUCH better tonight . . . probably would have been safe if she had done that last night.
Here comes the disco medley . . . wow, Freida Payne is . . . well, she’s had some nice work done! J Next up, we have big bird . . . um, er, I mean Thelma Houston . . . sorry . . . And here comes KC of KC and the sunshine band . . . and there ends the disco medley . . . and we still have 30 minutes to go. . .
Here we go with the RESULTS! Kris is up next . . . and he is SAFE! Adam Lambert is up next . . . and he is SAFE! The Gokey is up next . . . and he is SAFE! Anoop is up next. . . and he is in the Bottom Three! Matt and Allison are standing together . . . Matt . . . Allison one is in danger . . . Matt is SAFE, and Allison is in the Bottom Three! WOW! I don’t think anyone of us saw that coming.
Lil Boo up next . . . and he knocks it OUT da park . . . I heart Lil Boo!
Here we go with the results . . . who is gone . . . ANOOP! Allison is SAFE! As she should be . . .
And we're down to five . . . next week, if we follow Idol history, we should be moving to two numbers a piece . . . what will they sing? will America get it right and knock out Matt? all of these questions and more will be answered next week!

Top 7 Redux: Rankings and Predictions
Alrighty, after much lamenting here are my rankings . . .
1. Adam Lambert - Excellent, excellent job of reworking the song.
1. Kris Allen - Ditto . . . Lovely, unique take on classic Donna Summer
(LARGE SPACE)
3. Allison - I didn't love her rendition of hot stuff, but I thought it was still inventive enough to put her at the top of the second tier.
(SPACE)
4. Matt - despite the fact that his entire performance was mired in sweet, cheesy, karaoke fueled wonder . . . his vocals were 100 times better than they were last week.
5. The Gokey - He gets put behind Matt because he started the song with the MASSIVE GOKEY SCREECH and never found his way back . . .
6. Anoop - The Dogg would have ranked fourth and possibly third had he continued the song the way he started it . . . however, the shift in tempo to the attempt at a slow groove just did not work. . . and, his vocals suffered in the transition.
7. Lil - Despite picking a much better song, she just doesn't stack up next to the other six . . .
I'm going WAY out on a limb here. I think that Lil is a dream that once was, but I think the second elimination is tricky. From my standpoint, Anoop is the obvious choice . . . however, I think that Matt and The Gokey are also at risk. I'm just not sure . . . I think Matt is safe . . . Hmmm . . . I think if Lil goes home that Anoop will follow suit . . . however, if Lil is somehow safe, I think there could be a MASSIVE SHOCK and the Gokey could find himself fronting his youth group much sooner than he anticipated.
That being said . . . here are my shaky predictions
Bottom 3: (If there is one) The Gokey, Anoop, Lil
Eliminated Anoop . . . and The Gokey . . . Hey, occasionally you gotta go out on a limb. :)

Week 2 The Results: Alexis will no longer Grace us with her presence.
THIS is AMERICAN IDOL
Let’s do a review of last night’s festivities
And here is my favorite cheestasticness of the week . . the idol group number . . .they’re singing
“Trouble”. And thank the Lord above they have placed Scott at the piano. Strangely, Adam Lambert looks quite comfortable singing the line “The men are gonna love you and the women are gonna hate you” . . . Hmmmmmm. Sorry, anyway, I would say that was one of the better group numbers of the season.
We’re back with the kids on the couch talking about the Ford Focus Video Shoot . . . Let’s sit back and watch the Ford Focus Cuteness, shall we . . . And Ryan shot something over Simon’s head soaking the woman behind him . . . er, um . . . Let’s take a look at last week behind the scenes. . . They’re showing us some candid moments of the departing contestants. They all heart each other . . . Let’s talk to the contestants about how they’re doing. Alexis on Jasmine and Michael talking about his daughter . . . I believe this family story will keep him in for a while. . . AWWWWWWWW! Let’s check in on Megan’s health status
Let’s do the results! They’re gonna pull out the bottom 3!
Danny is clearly SAFE!
Lil Rounds is also clearly SAFE!
Anoop Dogg is up next and he is SAFE!
Allison and Michael are standing up together . . . this could throw a kink in my bottom 3 . . .
Allison is IN THE BOTTOM 3 . . . Michael is also in the Bottom 3! And we’re gonna head to a commercial break so we can absorb the shock . . . I like it when they mix up the way they get single out the Bottom 3 . . .
And after Brad Paisley croons a country tune, we’re back for more results . . .
We’re back and Scott is SAFE . . . duh
Megan Joy is up next and she and her flu ridden body are SAFE . . .
Matt G is up next and he is SAFE. . .
My boy Kris is up next . . . Y’all know I heart him and he is SAFE! Hellz Yeah!
Alexis Grace and Adam Lambert are next up . . . one of them will go to the Bottom 3 . . . Randy called Alexis Allison that can’t be good for her . . . and it’s not . . . Adam is SAFE and Alexis is in the Bottom 3!
One of them is getting sent back to safety . . . Allison is sent back to safety . . . I’m very surprised by that . . . Alexis and Michael are the Bottom 2 . . . who will be going home . . .
And we’re back to visit with Carrie Underwood and Randy Travis . . . Why does she look like Minnie Mouse . . . anyway they’re gonna sing their new single . . . and sit on the loser stools . . . I tooooooooooooooooooooooooold you sooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Simon says that they would consider saving one of the contestants . . . Hmmm . . . I wonder which one it is . . . Alexis, duh
Quickly, this brings up an interesting question . . . If Alexis is the one to go, and they save her then next week they would have to eliminate two people. That would mean they would go from 11 to 9. However, they are supposed to send the Top 10 on the tour . . . Would they only send 9? Would they send all 11? What would they do? Just curious.
Here come the results . . . after the nationwide vote of over 31 million . . . Michael is SAFE! Alexis Grace has been eliminated . . . or has she . . . let’s wait for the judges to deliberate . . . No pressure, girl. You’re singing for your life. She did a better job tonight than last night . . . are they gonna save her . . . nope, they are going to let her go home. She’s not on the tour. I didn’t think she was great last night, but I didn’t think she would be booted out this early.
And we’re done for another week and have 50 years of Motown to look forward to next week . . .

Thisgroup is finding out which 3 will make the TOP 12!
Paula thinks that this final group is AMAZING! Paula appears to be a teeny tiny bit loopy tonight.
And now a “how they got here” montage.
Here comes the group number . . . I’ve missed what they are singing . . . Oh yeah, it’s Katie Perry’s “Hot and Cold”. I do love this song, but wow, could this be more, er, um, Kids Incorporated. I REALLY hope Paula is not choreographing these routines. However, as y’all know, I do love a good group number.

Week Two Results: I DEFINITELY gots some satisfaction

THIS is AMERICAN IDOL!
I missed a bit of the opening, but we are now going into a group number . . . I HEART the group numbers. Rich, Cheesey, Goodness! They are singing, "Closer" by Ne Yo. I love this song. Oh hello Adam Lambert . . . Oh goodness, Welder Matt looks oh so uncomfortable - he shouldn't dance. This was MUCH better than last week's group number.
Here come the highlights and the results . . .
Allison is up first and she should go through. America has voted . . . and she is going to stand to the side. Jessie is brought down front, and she is standing next to Allison. Here comes Matt B. and he is standing next to the girls. One of these three is going through to the top 12. Randy hopes its Allison. After the nationwide vote, Allison is THROUGH TO THE TOP 12! And she gives yet another stunning rendition of Heart's "Alone"
Here come Megan and Chris. . . and they are sliding down. Here come Matt and Jeanine. . . judges didn't love them. . . and they are moving next to the other two. One of them is in the Top 12. Ryan's going to narrow it down. Jeanine is NOT in the Top 12. . . duh. One of the remaining three is through. Matt is NOT through to the Top 12. We're down to Megan and Chris. America voted . . .and . . . Chris Allen is THROUGH TO THE TOP 12! I LOVED him. I'm glad he's through. I know I disagree with the Rubbertoe on this one, but I really thought he did a good job last night. I think he's got some talent.
A little Idol mantage.
Here comes Brooke White. She's gonna preform an original song called "Please Hold Up My Heart". All of y'all who read the blog last year know that I HEART the Brooke White. Song is pretty good and has adult contemporary charts written all over it. You Go My Brooke!
The time draweth near for the sixth member of the Top 12 to be announced. Excuse me, I mean for Adam Lambert to be announced as the sixth member of the Top 12.
Here comes Mischavonna, Kai, Nick/Norman, Adam, and Jasmine . . . We talk to Mishavonna, Kai, and Jasmine . . . and they are NOT in the Top 12. That leaves us with Adam and Nick/Norman . . . and we'll find out after the break.
And during the break we learn about the Jonas Brothers movie . . . er, um . . .
And the results are that Nick is NOT through to the Top 12, but Adam is THROUGH to the Top 12! Hooray! Yay! And gave another spine tingling performance.
Well, we have gotten through yet another week of American Idol. So far, we have Alexis, Danny, Michael, Adam, Allison, and Chris in the Top 12. What do y'all think? Let us know!

Week One: The Results
Tense music plays . . . it must be an Idol results show.
Take nothing for granted . . .
THIS is American Idol!
Responses from the judges . . .
And a review of this week’s 12 and their journey
Oh hell yeah . . . we gets a little Idol group number . . . Oh the cheesetastic wonderment of it all . . .
They are singing one of my favorite songs, Jason Mraz’s I’m Yours. . . . pretty good . . . pretty good. Where was Stevie’s voice last night?
And we’re back!
Ryan leads us into highlights of the “very raw show” . . .
Who gave you hope America?
Let’s talk to the contestants . . . Question . . . Does Tatianna go in and out of that accent? Just a question.
Dim the lights, yo. Here we go.
Casey Carlson is up first . . . America voted and she is NOT in the Top 12.
Steven Fowler is up next . . . America voted and he is NOT in the Top 12.
Alexis is up next . . . here is our first real contender for the Top 12 . . . America voted and she IS IN THE TOP 12!
Here comes Ricky and Jackie . . . This is the first time they’ve brought two up at the same time . . . Also, they are clearly not going to tell us what order people are voting in . . . Ricky is NOT in the Top 12 . . . Jackie is NOT in the Top 12.
Here comes Anoop and Michael . . . I think this is the battle for that third spot. Michael IS IN THE TOP 12 and Anoop Dogg is “going home” . . . but not really.
Side Note: I think Michael sang better tonight than last.
Side Note 2: Michael beat out Anoop by 20,000 votes out of 24 million cast.
They still have 5 left to go . . . those who are not Danny must be really nervous and pissed off.
A little advert for the American Idol experience . . .
And yay to Michael Johns and Carly Smithson! Hooray! Carly had to find a weave in Orlando . . . I wonder if Ryan gave her some advice. They are singing “The Letter” . . . that was sooooo good at last year’s finale. Oh yes, The Hotness and Ms. Smithson are BACK!
We’re back . . . AnnMarie stands up and stays where she is . . . Brent stands up and stays where he is . . . you’re getting the point here . . . Stevie joins the other two . . . After the vote, NONE of these three made the Top 12.
Bring down Danny and Tatianna . . . Glasses and the drama queen . . . Here we go . . . Drama is crying and Danny’s glasses are somewhat distracting . . . America voted . . . and Danny is THROUGH TO THE TOP 12! Tatianna is headed back to the crib.
And there you have it America . . . Alexis, Michael, and Danny are through to the Top 12.
I think that Tatianna, Ricky, and Anoop could very easily be in the Wild Card Round.
Next week were on Wednesday and Thursday! What did y’all think?!

Last Minute Night One Predictions
Last minute predictions.
After thinking about everything, here is what I think . . .
Who should go through: Danny, Alexis, and Keith
Who will go through: Danny, Alexis and Michael
I think Anoop and Tatianna are outside shots for that third position.
Let's see what happens.

Nashville Star Finale Tonight!
Tonight, Nashville Star will crown the winner of it's Fifth Season. We are down to three contestants: 1) Melissa Lawson, 2) Gabe Garcia, and 3) Shawn Mayer . . . not that I've ranked these in any particular order . . . er, um . . . anyway . . .
NBC is reporting that they received a "record number of votes" for this final three telecast, and that voting was up "53%" from the previous week. A Side Note Here: I have found it so very sketchy from the beginning that NBC would not release the number of votes they were receiving each week. . . or any information about voting period . . . and, lets not forget that week of the final 6 when they were supposed to go from six to four and then strangely only eliminated one person . . . weird . . . Anyway . . .
Other highlights from tonight's telecast . . . The final three reunite with their eliminated reality family for several performances this evening . . . think Idol finale, cut in half, with a lower budget. Country legend George Jones will perform . . . The BRC will bust out his guitar, but hopefully not his mullet when he croons a tune from his latest CD, and finally, our winner will perform the song written by John Rich as the first single to hit radio tomorrow.
I really hope Nashville Star can pull off a decent finale. I haven't been thrilled with all of the contestants, but there are some good folks here, and I think if they do some major tweaking, they could make this show into something special . . . here's hoping

U R Bootiful, No Matter What They Say
What a night! We have the results show bearing down on us like the bus Randy's been driving the last few weeks, so let's get to bidness...
First off, the ridiculous boxing theme. Nigel himself said on KISS this morning with Ryan that he'd had the final theme for some time, and didn't know what he'd do to make the "boxing match" shit work if Syesha made it to the Top Two. Good thing the fix was in, eh?
And, is ALW bored? WTF is he doing here? Anyway...
Round 1: Clive's corpse selects some golden oldies for the boys.
Cookie with U2, sang it well, but wasn't magical.
Archie sang Elton like his life depended on it. I still have a problem with this embryo singing adult angst songs, but whatev. All you have to do is watch how nerved out he was after singing it to know how much pressure is on this poor kid. To his credit, DA pulls out the mojo and wins the first round.
Round 2: Pick From The 10 Worst Songs Nigel Could Inflict.
Cookie actually made this craptacular song sound like something you could hear in the real world beyond Idol. That, given the "This Is My Now"s and "Do I Make You Proud"s we've endured in the past, was a fucking miracle.
Archie (as Simon put it) sang the "right" song, the Idol melisma-fied syrupy song. He did a good job, but it was so predictable, and thus kind of blah. Though the judges made it seem like Archie won, I'd say Cookie actually pulled off Round Two by not being boring as hell.
Round 3: You Can Go Your Own Way (But Watch Out, Bitches!)
Cookie pulls a WTF by singing this Collective Soul song. Why? He did make it listenable, something it never was for me in the past, but it flew in the face of Idol "in it to win it" tradition. Simon slaps him down for it, but I applauded Mr. C for not cranking out a retread. Maybe it was a symbolic stand.
Archie performs a clone of Imagine. The pixie dust wasn't there this time, but it was a great performance. I literally stood and clapped for him at the end because I was afraid he'd melt down. That kid is a trooper!
All in all, Lil David came into the finale guns blazing, and Big David showed up and performed well, but without the magic. The judges shoved Cook in front of the bus and revved the engine, then floored it. WHOMP!
So, looks like an Archuleta victory is sewn up, right?
L and I are going to defy the winds of Fate and say COOK WINS IT!
...based not so much on last night, because Lil Dave really brought it, but on the juggernaut of voting coming into last night that favored DC. Crazy like Paula? Maybe.
L & K: Cook will be Dreaming Big as the Season 7 winner tonight.
(P.S. - An Open Letter To Randy Jackson: STFU. If I hear any more "molten hot" "phone book" "peaked at the right time" etc. bullshit, I'm getting on a plane to L.A. and strangling your ass in the LaBrea tar pits.)

Top 3: The Results . . . Will America FINALLY get it right?
Will it be the most dramatic Top 3 ever . . . My early guess is, er, um, no . . . but, we will see. THIS is AMERican Idol!
And here come the Idol's singing "Ain't No Stoppin Us Now" . . . um, when do we get new millenium night . . . anyhoo, how much do you want to bed that Rocker David's friends are making SUCH fun of him right now. Playing drinking games . . . take a shot everytime he has to act dorky on camera . . . and . . . their drunk.
So, our Idols are once again back stage . . . Again, I say, I want the people on the couch prior to elimination . . . not one of the good changes, Idol!!
Let's bring up Lil David . . . OH! I NEED YA BOO! . . . sorry . . . and, we're going back to Lil David's hometown . . . Look, the cheerleaders are attacking him . . . and, he looks strangely freaked out . . . and we're at a Lil David event . . .and my boo is crying . . . I'm making an official Little Taste of Idol change . . . I am now officially referring to Lil David as Lil Boo!!! I'm hearting him at home.
Next up is Ms. Syesha . . . She's goin home and hangin with her peeps. Lots of crying for Ms. Syesha, but strangely does not inspire me to give her the boo label . . . I like her, and think she will be hittin up broadway hardcore . . . but, I have hard time believing her when she speaks, cries, etc.
Finally, Rocker David is up and so is his bro. A non-idol aside . . . I'm showing my inner dork here, but I think Cookies brother is soooooooooooooo geek sheik cute! Tee Hee . . . anyway, we're going back home with the Cooks. Um, now Rocker David is crying . . . and I'm gonna now officially start calling him Rocker Boo . . . I'm hearting him back home with his bro. Maybe Rocker Boo will sing at Bro Boo and my ceremony . . . er, um . . . Idol . . .yes, Idol . . .
And now, it's time for the results. 56 million votes, bitches! Let me just say before they announce the results. I SO WANT A BOO ON BOO FINALE! We've been waiting for the right 2 to be in the finale since Season 2!
After the nationwide vote, the first person to make the finals is . . . LIL BOO! YAY! OH, I NEED YA BOO! That leaves Rocker Boo and Ms. Mercado for the final spot . . . The second person in the finals is . . . ROCKER BOO! YAY! A BOO ON BOO FINALE, YO! HOLLA!
I must say, Ms. Syesha looks like she knew she was going home, and handles the moment with grace and class. I'm impressed. But, I'm MORE impressed that we FINALLY have the correct finale! And, I'll have to check, but I think that all of us bloggers picked this finale!
I am so excited, but damn it, I wanted to see the coin toss! In all of Idol history, only the person who has gone second has won the title! And, in another little bit of Idol trivia, this is the first American Idol finale that features two individuals who have never been to the bottom two or three. Every other finale had at least one contestant who had been in danger of elimination at least once. A little Idol history . . . I'm sure we will spend the next week prognosticating on what will happen in the finale!
Holla!

Top 4 Results: Will the Davids Rockon?
Here we go with the Idol results show . . . Ryan's got the faux hawk working . . . Paula's got the shoulder strap working . . . and, do we have a surprise or an expected result . . . we'll find out in about 59 and a 1/2 minutes . . .
And a review of last night's performances . . . And, wow, we are heading to the results awfully quickly . . .
Lil David is very nervous . . . and VERY SAFE! Top 3 finds a David!
Here comes the other David . . . uh oh . . . could there be an upset in the works . . . He felt bad all day yesterday . . . but Paula's still hungry for him . . . and SO IS AMERICA! Rocker Dave to the Top 3!!!
We have Syesha and The Cuteness remaining . . . The Cuteness is like, um, "are you gonna tell us now?" No, silly . . .
Here comes . . . Maroon Five, interesting, It Really Makes Me Wonder if they really give a f*** about Idol . . . Cocky little bastard that Adam Levine . . .
Um, no y'all, not yet . . . it's ex-idol time, let's bring out, Bo Bice. I HEART this song . . . "CAN I GET A WITNESS . . . BABY!" Is it just me or has he become The Country Rock Hotness . . . I'm just kinda thinkin inappropriate thoughts . . . er, um, sorry y'all . . .
Back to the results! How cute is The Cuteness tonight . . . he is So Happy To Be Going Home Potentially . . . And, of course, he is. The Cuteness is departing our screens tonight . . .
Not surprising, yo, I hate it for The Cuteness, sort of . . . he probably should have been gone weeks ago, but, um, so should Syesha. She should have been gone about 5 different times.
Anyways, the Top 3 should be very very interesting . . .
Stay tuned for an update on what's the shizzle for the Top 3!

Not So Cute

I know Jason Castro is better known around here as The Cuteness, but after I saw this last night, I wondered what y'all thought about it: here's Brooke, crying her eyes out as she struggles to push through what must have been a painful, poignant last song on Idol, and Castro's grinning like a damn Cheshire Cat.

Top 6 Results: The Elimination of Blasphemy
So, it's time for another version of extend the results . . .
A group sing, a new celeb sing, possible ugh inducing questions, a ford commercial, and much endless banter will no doubt ensue . . . therefore, I will skip over that shizz . . .
To the results . . . once again, we have our Idols back stage . . . I really don't get this manner of presenting the results . . . much prefer the couch and the separating into groups of three . . .
Anyhoo, we're gonna bring em out two at a time . . . Noah's ark style . . .
The presumed finale . . . er, um, the two Davids are up first. We review the fantabulous comments that these two frontrunners received during the ALW performance night. Could there possibly be a surprise? Hell to the no . . . the wonder twins are very safe . . . wonder twin powers activate, form of an emo death march . . . form of an inspirational, message inducing ballad!
Next up, Brooke and Syesha. I gotta tell ya, the Idol Machine is really making me think that Ms. White is safe because they are REALLY playing up in an oh so over the top kind of way how controversial the start & stop from the previous evening was. Yes, it was bad. Yes, she is cracking under the pressure. We get it. Idol is only this obvious when it's trying to create a "shock" moment. I've been watching this show too long... Brooke and Syesha are shocked when Brooke is declared safe.
Finally, The Cuteness (who the camera caught yawning back stage - was that a bag of cheetoes I saw in his hand . . . chronic anyone?) and Carly SUPERSTAR! So, banter ensues and The Cuteness doesn't wanna sing tonight . . . and HE WON'T HAVE TO . . . The Cuteness is safe . . . er, um . . . am I the only one who finds this result more shocking than the last?
PLEASE STOP MAKING NERVOUS CONTESTANTS SING BEFORE THEY FIND OUT IF THEY'VE BEEN AXED!
The results: ENDLESS BANTER! And, Carly you are . . . going home . . . what the feck? Um . . . Ugh . . . Yikes . . . Ickypoo! Bitter, party of one, my table is ready. Strangely, I am more bitter than Carly.
I'm 3/4 shocked and outraged . . . from my predictions blog, I had a sinking feeling that Carly might go to the bottom 2 . . . It NEVER occurred to me that she would go home.
Neil Diamond, up next . . . seriously, y'all Neil Diamond . . .
P.S. I could not believe the Massive Bitch Slap that ALW put on The Cuteness. It was well-deserved, but, yo, what up with that . . . almost like The Cuteness is his ho and did not cough up all of the nightly profits to Pimp Daddy Webber . . .

Top 7 Results: One Bittersweet Day!
Ok, so, I had an entire post that LiveBlogged the Results show . . . but it disappeared . . . most of you are probably cool with that because my posts tend to be a wee bit . . . er, um . . . wordy . . .
Anyhoo, THIS is AMERican Idol! And, the Top 7 did a little mix of "One Sweet Day" . . . The Cuteness was a bit nervous . . . The Comeback Kid looked HOT . . . and, er. . . what was Syesha wearing? And why was her hair so Scary Spice circa 1996 . . . "Yo, I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want"
Let's start the eliminations . . .
The Cuteness comes out first, and might I say, that chrnoic was PRIMO tonight . . . and, La Seacrest and his shiny sportscoat, sends him to the far side of the stage
Yay . . .we're doing a three on three with one safe block . . .
Rocker David comes out next and is sent to the other side of the stage . . . um, wait . . . a surprise for this evening?
Carly up next and she goes over towards the cuteness . . . Simon says some very nice, and deserving, things about Carly
Next up, The Comeback Kid . . . she heads over towards her Cook brother . . .
Cue the one Idol performer who inspired my favorite Idol sign of all times "Vote Like YAMIN It! . . . Elliot Yamin RULZ! Go dental work!
Next up is is Syesha who joins The Cuteness and The Tattoo . . . what is going on here . . .
Finally, Ms. Brooke (y'all, I am alone on the BW bandwagon . . . it is so lonely here . . . don't think that I won't send out "Let it Be", "Love is a Battlefield", and "You're So Vain" youtube clips out to Rubbertoe, TtownIdolfan, and Allison this week . . .I'm lonely here and L&K have never been here with me . . .so lonely, so cold . . . Ms. Brooke, of course, goes with The Cooks!
Lil David is alllll alone . . . massive suspense would ensue had I not viewed six prior seasons of the Idol . . .
Lil David is, of course, SAFE and is FORCED to go to the group he thinks is safe . . . A LA MD circa AI 6, Lil David sits down and will not choose . . .Ryan switches Syesha and Rocker David and the brings The Rocker, The Tattoo, and The Cuteness to Nigel Lythgoe's Winner, er, um, I mean Lil David and declares them all safe. That leaves Brooke, Syesha, and The Comeback Kid as the Bottom 3. Y'ALL, I honestly think all 7 are awesome . . . but, I need Syesha to relieve me of her presence.
Ugh. Not so much. Syesha is not vanishing . . . she lives on for ALW . . . My Brooke and The Comeback Kid are on the block . . . Suddenly, everyone in the studio thinks this is a foregone conclusion . . . and, it is. KLC is history, yo. I hate that . . .for a performer that I didn't want in the Top 12, she really won me over. She is so cute with Simon at the end. LOVE HER!
Ok, if I'm being BRUTALLY HONEST, KLC was the weakest vocalist of the remaining seven . . . I just HEARTED her for her hutzpah! This is the most talented top 7 in my history of Idol . . . and, I think we have the most vocally talented top 6 EVER! I'm a touch (read A TON) more worried about ALW week than I ever was about Mimi . . .
See y'all in a while!
Lil David is alllll alone . . . massive suspense would ensue had I not viewed six prior seasons of the Idol . . .

Top 9! Its the Results, Y'all! Cue the Hallelujah Chorus!
Ok, so I promise not to write one of my neverending posts . . .
Our idols are singing 9 to 5 as their opening number. Anyone notice that Michael Johns (THE HOTNESS!) is wearing a DOLLY t-shirt! They sound suprisingly good. Overall, one of the better group numbers I've seen.
Commercial thought: I wonder if The Cuteness is thinking of our Rubbertoe . . . Hmmm . . .
And now, the recap . . . Wow, Rocker David's falsetto . . . Lil David . . . AND THE HOTNESS!
To the results. . . they show us the seats of doom and the couch of glory. Ugh, I guess we're not getting three, three, and three. First up, Michael Johns . . . and of course, The Hotness is safe!
Lil David . . . y'all know . . . Lil bit is safe! I think this one is destined for the finale.
Carly's on stage. I fear for her (and I put her in the bottom 3), but I hope she is safe. Ryan plays with her (verbally I mean) which, of course, means she is safe!
Commercial thought 2: I wonder if The Hotness currently has no idea why he is thinking about a guy named Josh in the state of Alabama . . . BUT, he is finding himself surprisingly intrigued . . . heh heh
Oh Sweet Relish, these dreaded phone calls are back. Copious amounts of ugh . . .
Ok, so KLC and Carly are cracking me up. When all of the questions go to the boys, they cracked up . . . that is cute.
Here comes the "Next Great American Band" winners, The Clark Brothers . . . and they are letting their lights shine . . . bluegrassyesqueish style. Dig the guitars.
Cue obligatory Ford Commercial - Actually pretty cute.
Results . . . David Cook . . . Cue David and the palpitations, glad he's ok. I wonder what they are doing because there is no way he is bottom 3 . . . and, he's not! The Rocker is Safe.
Ugh, here comes Ramiele. Her "quirkiness" makes me want to throw up lumpy. Ugh. CUE THE HALLELUJAH CHORUS! She is in the bottom three! Get her gone! Now, please.
KLC is on the block. She thinks she's in the bottom three... and, she is correct. KLC goes to sit next to the hobbit.
And, break.
Commercial thought 3: Who do I have to sleep with to get Ramiele removed from my television screen.
We're back and ready to hear DOLLY! Except we have to see past idols who do it country style. HEY BUCKY - Fat bottomed girls - holla!
Results . . Syesha's up next . . . which puts Brooke or The Cuteness in the bottom three. Syesha goes to the couch of glory . . . UGH!
Here come Brooke and The Cuteness. First, Brooke and The Cuteness look GREAT! If Idol stays true to form, The Cuteness will be safe since he was in the bottom three last week. And, Idol stays true to form . . . My Brookey goes to the Bottom Three.
Idol gives back promo follows . . . I'm purposely not watching as today was trying enough without crying about homeless children in Africa. I am, however, glad that Idol gives back . . .
Is it . . . Could it be . . . Our own little back woods barbie! DOLLY! Oh look, the Idol choir is backin our girl up! Dolly Parton rocks my freakin face off. "Hallelujah, Simon, how are ya?"
Dolly quote #2 Speaking to La Seacrest "I let him back into Dollywood. I've got Jesus and you've got Simon. That's all you need right, Ryan!"
Here it goes, standing according to height. Lots of people think that she talks to much, but I don't mind Brooke, because I believe she is genuine. And, she is the first to be SAFE! Holla!
Perennial bottom 3 KLC and the F'ing Pixie are the bottom two. And, KLC, you are safe! I AM SO FREAKIN HAPPY I MAY JUST RUN NAKED DOWN THE STREET! YES! HOLLA AT A PLAYA! HELLFREAKINYEAH! Alright, I'm done.
There goes another week of Idol . . .
I hope next week's theme provides the caliber of performances we saw this week . . . here's hoping.

Gettin My Recap On . . .
Ok, so, I will hold off on the rankings for a little bit. I need to mull over what I think was THE BEST overall night of the competition - HANDS DOWN! I am so happy with how amazingly good ALMOST everyone performed. It is not difficult to pick who I think was the worst of the bunch, BUT I think it will be difficult to pick who America will actually send home. In addition, I am SO torn about America's bottom three . . .Ugh!
Will be back later.
P.S. I hope the results in the top 9 are the same as they have been the past few years. Where they put the idols into three groups of three (Top vote getters, Middle, and Bottom). That might give us an idea of how everyone is actually placing. LOVE IT!

Top 10! Who Gets Da Boot?
Ok y'all, so I am serving up a bitter taste of idol tonight. I AM NOT HAPPY. How could my DVR betray me like this. I am so good to him. UGH! So, as I sit here watching All My Children from earlier today - yes, I watch the soaps, and it may very soon be incorporated into a new blog - I check online to see the results. Acutally, to be honest, my DVR, for some reason, recorded the last 2 minutes of Idol . . . so, I know who has been eliminated.
First things first . . . Let's do a review of the scores for the friendly competition, and our picks for the bottom 3.
Rubbertoe = 4 Picks for the Bottom 3: Chekezie, Ramiele, Jason. Eliminated: Chekezie
Allison = 4 Picks for the Bottom 3: Ramiele, KLC, Chekezie. Eliminated: Ramiele
Josh = 4 Picks for the Bottom 3: Chekezie, Ramiele, KLC. Eliminated: Chekezie
K = 3 Picks for the Bottom 3: Ramiele, Syesha, Chekezie. Eliminated: Ramiele
L = 3 Picks for the Bottom 3: Ramiele, Syesha, Chekezie. Eliminated: Ramiele
Ttownidolfan = 1 Picks for the Bottom 3: Ramiele, Jason, Chekezie: Eliminated: Ramiele
And the results . . . From the reviews I've read - UGH ON DVR - we see the stools and the sofa again. Chekezie is the first to the stools. A bunch of safe folks follow. Next to the stools, Syesha - Again, UGH DVR - is American serious, did they hear what I heard?! Finally, Jason-freakin-Castro! Um, did I read correctly, Ramiele is safe?!?! WHO IS VOTING FOR THIS GIRL? Funny enough, KLC has been the girl that everyone thought should leave, but suddenly, Ramiele is the one who seems to be the odd girl out . . . funny how that works. Anyway, The Cuteness is safe! Hooray!
So now, apparently, it is between Syesha and Chekezie . . . neither of which actually deserve to be in the bottom 2 . . . and . . . Syesha is . . . SAFE! Mr. Ezie has to hit the trail. I predicted that America would send him home, but it is kind of bittersweet. I'm glad I picked correctly, but I don't think that he deserved to go. DAMN YOU RAMIELE! Below, I provide an updated score sheet. Allison will update the scores tomorrow, because I'm sure I will get the point distribution wrong :)
1. Rubbertoe - Score: 7 (2 of Bottom 3 correct and elimination)
2. Josh - Score: 6 (1 of Bottom 3 correct and elimination)
3. Allison - Score 5: (1 of Bottom 3 correct)
3. K - Score 5: (2 of Bottom 3 correct)
3. L - Score 5: (2 of Bottom 3 correct)
6. TtownIdolfan - Score 3 (2 of Bottom 3 correct)
Again, Allison will alter these scores tomorrow based on her information . . . however, for right now, Rubbertoe is in first kickin it West Coast Style! :)
P.S. Can I just shout out a little "TeeHee" that Ms. KLC was actually SAFE! I know I didn't pick it, but I was very happy. It's weird how some of these people get under my skin, but I have kind of grown to heart her... Not in the same way I HEART JASON CASTRO . . . but, in a I just love her spunk kind of way . . .
Holla at an Idol fan!
